The evening was full of conversation, inspiration and lots of debate. Dr Vivienne Lo started the night giving an insight and levelled view of why and how traditional Chinese medicine is important in working alongside western medicine, followed by Dr Kerry Brown giving some amazing facts about Chinese investment in the west which shocked the audience and gave way to conversation about the perception of investment. Anthony Pickles and Dr Victor Fan carried on with many exciting and interesting facts about tourism (France is number 7th in Chinese visitors’ destination list, with UK being 31st!) and yellow face in the media. The evening ended with Fashion business CEO, Wenjing Shi sharing her experience of feminism in China and how important it is to her to support and encourage women in China to explore their own identity without the restrains of family and cultural traditions.
