Spend an autumn afternoon at China Exchange learning more about harvesting herbs, herbal remedies, and how to create your own “elixir of life” with herbalist Rasheeqa Ahmad.
Feeling tired? There’s a herb for that? Coming down with a cold? There’s a herb for that? Problems with your gut? Yep, there’s a herb for that too. Herbal medicine has been used for thousands of years to treat many every day conditions as well as more complex issues from emotional health to fertility. Join medical herbalist Rasheeqa Ahmad as she explains how herbs can treat every day conditions while getting hands on and creating your own tonic to take away.
The workshop is inspired by the legend of Chang E, a woman who lives eternally in the moon after she drank a full vial of the Elixir of Life and floated up to the heavens, who is celebrated and remembered during the mid-autumn festival. Rasheeqa won’t let anyone float to the moon, but she will offer expertise and advice on how we can feel lighter and healthier.
