Preparing for GDPR on 25 May at China Exchange

On 25 May 2018, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force. At China Exchange, we are updating our systems to comply with this new legislation.

We take details from people in order to register them for our activities. We do not share this information with third parties without consent. Our audience members will hear from us either when we need to tell them something about an event or activity for which they have registered, or because they have opted to receive our newsletter.

We send a regular newsletter to people who have subscribed and subscribers are able to unsubscribe at any time. As part of our preparation for GDPR, we need to ask all our existing newsletter subscribers to resubscribe in order to comply.

Over the next few weeks, we will update our privacy policy, ensuring our staff are well-prepared and trained and making sure we have everything in order for the 25 May  compliance date. Anyone who wishes to contact us to talk about data protection or how we are preparing for GDPR is welcome to email us info@chinaexchange.uk (no sales emails please, we’ve got all the help we need).

China Exchange is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
