Walking into the Year of the Rat with Chinatown Stories Tours

London’s Chinatown is getting ready to celebrate the arrival of the year of the Rat, and at China Exchange, we are offering a special Chinese New Year edition of our popular Chinatown Stories walking tour.

Additional tours are offered this Chinese New Year to allow more people to explore hidden stories of Chinatown, from the history of its buildings and signature symbols of the area to its transformation from abbey lands to the home of London’s Chinese community today. This year’s Chinese New Year special tours share New Year customs and traditions from our passionate history champions who are dedicated to helping more people enjoy and appreciate this time of year.

The special tours are available to the public on Saturday 25th January and Wednesday 29th January from 11:30am to 2:00pm. Private bookings for tour groups and schools are also available. Each tour ends with a Chinese family-style lunch enjoyed with the guide and other guests. All our guides are trained volunteers and we support the local community, with a donation being made to charities working in the area from every ticket sold.

Tickets (including lunch) are £27 for adults, £15 for children aged 5-16 and free for children under 5.

The CNY Special Tours are in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and can be arranged on request. For further information, email: info@chinaexchange.uk
