China Exchange wants the world to read all about London’s Chinatown

Untold stories of London’s Chinatown will be shared in a new book written by China Exchange team members, Freya Aitken-Turff and Xiao Ma. Chinatown Stories offers history, social commentary and recipes all with the aim of sharing the heritage we can see and that which we cannot in this iconic part of London.

Published by Unbound, the book will go into production once copies have been sold in advance. A campaign is underway to sell enough copies to ensure that the book is available online and in all good bookshops.

Both Freya and Xiao are donating their time and all proceeds will be donated to fund community projects that support the neighbourhood.

There is a surprising lack of published work dedicated to London’s Chinatown. Chinatown Stories will provide contemporary accounts and document the area’s rich history.
