China Exchange Volunteer Recognised in National Award Ceremony

One of our fantastic China Exchange volunteers was recognised in a national award ceremony on Monday. Sau Au Hing was presented with a finalist award for the Chinese female volunteer of the year 2021 in a ceremony at the House of Lords. In the past nine months alone she has contributed over 250 hours to our projects focused on heritage and community. Inspired by her incredible commitment to China Exchange since 2018, we nominated Hing and were delighted to hear a few months ago that she had made the shortlist. In Monday’s ceremony she was presented with the finalist award fellow finalists, Anita He and Tina Ho. The awards, run by the Chinese Information and Advice Centre, are designed to inspire people to volunteer and to reward and recognise the contributions made by people who contribute their time and skills in their communities.
The China Exchange team were there to cheer Hing on and to show her how much we value the contributions that she makes to our work.
Congratulations to Hing and all the other award nominees and winners!
