David Heyman

Film Producer David Heyman delighted a sold-out audience at China Exchange with tales of how he fell in love with the Harry Potter books and secured the rights for the films before they were published, as well as how he discovered Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe. Covering his experience of starting out in the film industry (including a valuable piece of advice he received at University and was willing to pass on “Get a job in film distribution because no one else wants to do it”), David talked about books as the basis of his business and the need to find a select number of the right people to create successful projects.
