Eva Herzigova

Model and actress Eva Herzigova joined the Prudential Series and used her 60 minutes to share tales of her modelling career. She described her experience of being a young woman in Czechoslovakia and winning the modelling competition that gave her her first contract. She talked about the iconic Wonderbra campaign that made her a recognisable figure and shared that, initially, it was not the high fashion work that she wanted:

“It wasn’t the Versace campaign or the Vogue cover. It was an ad campaign. It was just a job.”

She talked how the turning point of her career came when she was shot for the cover of The Face magazine in 1997 by Mario Testino, and styled by Carine Roitfeld this lifted her from being seen as just a pin up ad girl to respected fashion editorial model.

The event was highlighted in this article from the Daily Mail.

Eva Herzigova quote: In sport, you know that if you practise and you're the fastest you will achieve number one. In the fashion industry you depend on the opinions of many people to decide if you are number one.
