HRH Princess Eugenie has become known as a royal who has trodden her own path. She chose to attend Newcastle University over a more traditional university, and has taken several jobs in the art world, including positions at Paddle 8 and, currently, at super-gallery Hauser & Wirth, where she is a director.

This year, with Hauser & Wirth, she will be participating in 2017 Venice Biennale with two of their represented artists: Phyllida Barlow, who will be representing the UK, and Mark Bradford, who will be representing the US.

As well as her passion for art, HRH Princess Eugenie is an enthusiastic advocate for various charities and is patron of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital’s Redevelopment Appeal; the Elephant Family, a charity campaigning to protect the Asian Elephant and their habitat; the Teenage Cancer Trust, supporting young people facing cancer and, most recently, of the Coronet Theatre, a theatre and art space for Kensington and across London, in November, 2016.

This event is part of the Prudential Series of talks by exceptional people with extraordinary lives.
