Despite its advanced modernisation, Hong Kong has many traditional folk cultures, including performing arts, social practices, rituals, festivals, food and traditional crafts, some of which date back to when Hong Kong was a fishing village. Many are not widely known, even in Hong Kong.

Join us at China Exchange to discover Hong Kong’s amazing intangible cultural heritage at this special exhibition with related talks and workshops organised by Ming-Ai (London) Institute, which marks the finale of Hong Kong’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival.

Learn the secrets of making the perfect cup of Hong Kong style milk tea with master Mok Pui-ling. Master Mok Pui-ling has been perfecting her techniques in making Hong Kong-style milk tea for almost 20 years. In 2013, she represented Hong Kong in the International KamCha Competition and became the first international female Master of KamCha.

Making of Traditional Hong Kong Dim Sum (Cooking Demo & Practice)

Tuesday –Thursday 21-23 Nov, 3-5pm & 5-6pm

The chefs from Dumplings’ Legend will host a series of Dim Sum making workshops, with two sessions per day. All workshops begin with an introduction and a tour of the exhibition and will then move down to Dumplings’ Legend for the practical demo and workshops. Bring along an apron and a hair net and come join the fun!
