In a special afternoon concert, enjoy the efforts of a group of young musicians visiting London from Hong Kong at China Exchange.

With players from the Music for Our Young Foundation Youth Chinese Orchestra and Youth Symphony Orchestra, the programme for the afternoon will be a wide repertoire of both Chinese and Western pieces, including You and Me 我和你, The Lotus Pond 採蓮謠, Spring in Tianshan 天山之春, Fengyang Flower Drum 鳳陽花鼓, Highland Cathedral and Aspiration (Elgar).

The concert will be the first performance by these young people, many travelling outside their hometowns for the first time, before they go on to play in St John’s Smith Square and at Corpus Christi College in Cambridge. The concert tour forms part of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Support them in Chinatown and make your Tuesday a tuneful one!

About Music for Our Young Foundation

MOY logo

Music for Our Young Foundation (MOY) is a charitable organisation set up in 2009 to provide music training for young people in the less-well-provided-for areas in Hong Kong.  The aim is to instill in young people the virtues of hard work and perseverance through music training. The MOY now has wings operating to the same ideal in Mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and the UK. You can read more about the MOY here.
