Our Chinese New Year (CNY) Instagram competition returns in 2017 to welcome the Year of the Rooster. To enter, post your CNY photos on Instagram using the hashtag #snapCNY17 over the opening CNY weekend, 28-29 January. Photos must be posted by midnight on Monday 30 January to be considered. Submissions will be reviewed and a selection of winning shots that convey CNY in London will be selected for a February Popup exhibition at China Exchange – details to follow.

Those interested in participating in #snapCNY17 are invited to attend our opening Workshop: What does Chinese New Year Mean to Me? Taking place on Saturday 28 January from 10:30am, this free 40 minute workshop will give participants the opportunity to hear from and ask questions to three speakers, each with their own cultural experiences of CNY. The workshop will equip attendees with a greater understanding of CNY, encouraging them to interact with and enjoy the celebrations on a deeper level. To register your attendance, click here.
