We use the information we collect or receive, such as your email address, to communicate directly with you. We may send you emails containing news about our events.

China Exchange provides a regular newsletter used to let you know about our events, activities and news connected to our charity. Users can subscribe through the link on our website, through an automatic process when booking a ticket through Ticket Tailor by dropping off a business card at an event, by completing a sign up form at China Exchange or over the phone.

Subscriptions are taken in compliance with UK Spam Laws detailed in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of China Exchange. Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you may request a copy of personal information held about you.

Email marketing campaigns published by China Exchange may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Storage and Processing:

Other than your name and email address – if you consented to subscribing to our mailing list – no other personal details are stored by China Exchange. If you booked through Ticket Tailor, we can access information about your booking and can see the payment made for your ticket through PayPal. Should you have concerns about how PayPal use and store your personal information, please see their privacy policy. If we take your payment card information over the phone, this is entered into a credit card machine to process the transaction. Apart from your name and an email address to which we will send your tickets, we do not store your payment information.

Compromise of information:

In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, China Exchange will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.
