Andrew Marr, broadcaster, journalist and best selling author, will join the Prudential Series and give the China Exchange audience the chance to turn the tables and ask him searching questions.

Andrew is an award-winning newspaper and television journalist who formed part of the team that launched The Independent before joining the Economist as political editor. He returned to edit the Independent in 1996 and then wrote as a columnist for The Express and the Observer.

In 2000, he became Political Editor at the BBC, and made a smooth transition from the newspaper world to the television screen where he became famous for his expansive arms movements as well as political insights. Since 2005 Andrew has presented Start The Week for BBC Radio 4 and The Andrew Marr Show, BBC 1’s Sunday morning political programme.

As if these achievements were not enough, Andrew is also the author of several books on history and politics. After suffering a life-threatening stroke in 2013, he presented a documentary, My Brain and Me, revealing his personal journey to recovery and investigating the ways in which our brains function.
