Be part of something special and start the mid-autumn festival with dance workshops led by contemporary choreographer and dance artist Quang Kien Van.

We are seeking 40 participants to develop a new piece of original work inspired by the mid-autumn festival and the experiences of the participants themselves.

Join us for four workshops and a series of final performances that will demonstrate the creative power of communities through dance. All workshops, rehearsals and final performances will be held at China Exchange.

The workshops will be held on:

Group A
Tuesday 25th September 6pm – 7pm
Tuesday 2nd October 6.30pm – 7.30pm
Tuesday 9th October 6pm – 7pm
Tuesday 16th October 6pm – 7pm
Performance: Thursday 18th October

Group B
Wednesday 26th September 6pm – 7pm
Wednesday 3rd October 6.30pm – 7.30pm
Wednesday 10th October 6pm – 7pm
Wednesday 17th October 6pm – 7pm
Performance: Friday 19th October

(Please click the selected dates to register your preferred workshop group. Please only register for either Group A or Group B)

The sessions will be led in English and are open to all. No dance experience is required and we encourage those over 50 to take part. It is free to take part in the project but – as places are limited – we need a minimum commitment of 4 sessions and 1 performance.

This project is funded by Arts Council England, sponsored by Pure Essentials and supported by Ku Bar.
