Root Scene — Chinese Contemporary Art Group Show
Opening at China Exchange UK, London
An exhibition of different forms of contemporary art that show visitors the exchanges between China and Britain, highlighting both the charm of difference and the new possibilities of artistic spirit.
Featuring the work of 11 Chinese contemporary artists including He Jinwei, Guo Jin, Zhong Biao, Li Jikai, He Jian, Wang Chaogang, Li Yan, Wei Yan, Zhang Yue, Zong Ning and Li Guojie, the exhibition has been curated to question the creation of homogenous arts by exploring regionalisation; demonstrate the roots of the artists by showing their artistic individuality and; exploring the past, present and future of the roots on display.
Hosted by China Arts & Entertainment Group, Root Scene has been produced with the cooperation of Asia Scene Arts Space, German Villa Haiss Art Museum and China Exchange.
The exhibition runs through October 8th 2016.
Public opening hours: 12pm – 7pm daily.
Admission is free.
