In a wide ranging discussion on fashion, luxury, retail and value for money, Scott talked of first developing Rodeo Drive before designing destinations that would originally appeal to Japanese tourists and the later development of Bicester Village. He shared his desire to create international places where everyone can feel at ease and how this feeling of being embraced by a shopping location leads to better sales. The psychology of shopping was a recurring theme as was the emotional reaction that people have to shopping destinations.
