How We Are Funded

China Exchange is funded through income we generate ourselves and through grants, sponsorship and donations. We work to deliver the greatest impact we can with the resources that we have available. We are a UK registered charity.

We generate the funds for our core costs by renting out our building for occasional hire and by consulting for other organisations who need support engaging the public on China-related activities.

Our projects and activities are funded through income we generate through grants, sponsorship and donations. We do not receive any regular Government funding from the UK or China.

We work with foundations and trusts to fund projects. This allows China Exchange to deliver targeted programmes that meet our aims as an organisation while delivering the outcomes that our funders wish to see. Our funders trust us to deliver projects with clear aims and outcomes that encourage a deeper understanding of China, Chinese culture and London’s Chinatown.

Sponsorship opportunities are available within our public programme. We provide a way for companies to position themselves alongside dynamic and exciting activities that resonate with audiences.

We are grateful for the support from individual donors. These funds provide ways for us to extend our efforts and reach more people. Every donation we receive contributes to making our activities happen and to making projects as accessible as possible.
