In 2021, China Exchange ran a successful crowdfunding campaign to Champion Chinatown Heritage. Funds were raised to support:
The installation of the first permanent public display of East and South East Asian history in London’s Chinatown
The training of new History Champions for the Chinatown Stories community led walking tours programme
Focused heritage gathering by volunteers to secure more of Chinatown’s intangible cultural food heritage. This material will be archived at Westminster City Archives to create a lasting legacy for this element of the project.
A food heritage trail map designed and developed by volunteers to showcase food cultural heritage
