Cantonese and Mandarin Census Information and Support

The 2021 census will be taken on 21 March. Letters, with unique access codes, have been sent out and responses are already coming in. It is important for East and South East Asian people to be represented in the census. The data gathered is used to make important national and local policy decisions.

Chinese Community Advisers in London have organised workshops to answer any queries and assist the completion of the Census form. The Census Support Centre has staff who can help with general census queries, and help people to fill in their online census or paper form.

Online workshops are available from 20 to 23 March to assist Chinese speaking community members to complete their census questionnaire. Details of the workshops are explained in the Census Completion Flyers here.

Telephone Helplines are available from 20-23 March and 27-28 March from 10:00-12:00pm, in Cantonese and Mandarin. This service is repeated in April, 3-6, 10-11 from 10:00-12:00pm. Details are explained here in the Census Help Flyer.
