Funded tour places available for St James’s Ward residents & groups

St James’s Ward residents in Westminster will be able to enjoy funded places on China Exchange Chinatown Stories community-led walking tours thanks to a new grant provided by Westminster City Council’s ward funding scheme.

Chinatown Stories is a unique 2.5hr experience  led by trained History Champion volunteers who guide tour guests around the iconic streets of the neighbourhood. After the tour, they host a family-style lunch allowing people to ask more questions and get to know each other. The scheme has been running at China Exchange since 2018 in support of Chinatown’s heritage and local business community. Each ticket sold includes a donation to three charities operating in Chinatown that support people who rely on the area to meet their needs.

One hundred and fifty people who live in St James’s Ward  area can register for places through this online form  or by calling the China Exchange office. School and community groups can also register for places – please email or call China Exchange directly for group enquiries. If you are not sure which ward you live in, please check your postcode here. This opportunity has been made possible through Westminster City Council
