Introducing Festival Writer-in-Residence, Will Harris

Award winning writer Will Harris is joining us as the first Writer in Residence for our Chinese Write Now Festival 2022. His debut poetry book is RENDANG (Granta, UK; Wesleyan, US: 2020). It was a Poetry Book Society Choice and won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. He co-edited the spring issue of The Poetry Review in 2020 with Mary Jean Chan.

As Writer in Residence, Will Harris will be hosting in person workshops in China Exchange, London (21st May) and Lakeside Arts, University of Nottingham (22nd May), followed by four online workshops through May and June. The writing workshops will provide a space to explore our various cultures and communities, in the hope of opening up much-needed conversations. A collection of the writing will be developed between our writer in residence and the participants. This workshop will be open for general public participation via online registration. No prior writing experience is necessary.
