Dogs are man’s best friend. To celebrate the Year of Dog, China Exchange welcomed Diane Hardiman, specialist in Animal Assisted Therapy, and volunteers from the charity Pets As Therapy and their therapy dogs to discuss how animals, and especially dogs, are used as therapy to help people in need. Kicked off with Diane’s presentation about therapy animals, the event focused on the precious relationship between dogs and humans and the positive impact animals have on patients. Then the Pets As Therapy volunteers shared their experience of volunteering with their temperament-tested therapy dogs. At the end of the event, audiences had the opportunity to meet and have a chat with the volunteers and their dogs.
