This event formed part of the Hong Kong Focus at China in Context – three events supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office celebrating the role that Hong Kong has played as a cultural translator and the creativity of writing from this unique region.
This free workshop was led by Hong Kong Poet Jennifer Wong. The session explored food as a theme.
Firstly, Jennifer read a selection of poems centred on culinary themes. Suitably inspired, workshop participants were then encouraged to create their own compositions.
With no writing experience required, this session was suitable for absolute beginners and gave a taste of the process behind writing and appreciating poetry.
