China Exchange is recruiting for a Venue Hire Coordinator to join the team on a 25hrs per week 6 month contract. This role supports the financial stability of our charity and would provide a flexible role for someone seeking to work alongside family or study commitments.

Venue Hire Coordinator

  • 25hrs per week (Mon-Fri 10am-3pm) 
  • Remote working with occasional days from our premises in Chinatown 
  • £15 per hour
  • Six month contract 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responding to  venue hire enquiries by phone and email and working with clients to make sure they have what they need and understand what China Exchange can provide
  • Updating booking forms and the China Exchange calendar so that the team can see all arrangements
  • Coordinating with the CE team to ensure that site visits are held and invoices are issued
  • Coordinating with suppliers including cleaners and AV companies  
  • Preparing notes for China Exchange team 

Skills needed:

  • Thorough with good attention to detail
  • Able to build rapport quickly via phone and email
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Experience of sales or venue hire roles useful
  • Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency (both written and spoken)
